Course Description

The course will enable the student to explain  concepts of  altered physiology mechanisms and their impact on the human body evidenced through biochemistry.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

  1. Define terminologies in medical biochemistry, clinical Chemistry and Hematology.
  2. Discuss  metabolism in relation to health and disease.
  3. Apply knowledge of nutrition to the nutritional biochemistry
  4. Demonstrate  laboratory  procedures in Biochemistry and clinical chemistry.
  5. Interpret findings from hematologic  samples.
