This course establishes fundamentals and principles of good counseling practice. The emphasis will be for the student to develop core values, helping skills and attitudes which will be fundamental to an effective counseling practice. Special attention will be given to consideration of ethical, Christian issues and African values in relation to how they affect gender, class and culture in counseling.
