The
purpose of this course is to introduce students to the history of development
of Africa, its relationship to the modernization and industrialization
processes of the Western world and the role of Christianity and Islam in this
development. Through the course, the students will be equipped with knowledge
and skills to generate Africa-friendly solutions to the contemporary challenges
facing the continent informed by healthy international relationships, the role
of religion in development, and the contextual resources and potential of the
continent.
