Course Content

The course will cover key concepts of International refugee law; causes of refugee flows;

International refugee regime; human rights and obligations of the refugees; refugee protection: instruments, principles; challenges: legal, communal, national, regional; in the global arena; the UNHCR: history, structure; mandate; durable solution and its partner organizations; IDPs and guiding principles; refugee gender and sexual identity; plights of refugee children; refugee campcoordination; camp management; camp refugees and peace building; case studies from different host &third countries.
