Course Purpose
The course introduces learners to explore major theories in the area of psycholinguistics. It is designed to enhance learners’ understanding of language development and the relationship between thought and language. Additionally, it enables learners to identify the basic areas of the brain involved in language and develop detailed knowledge of basic sub-fields of psycholinguistics, including the biological bases of language (language & the brain), speech perception, the lexicon, sentence processing, discourse, speech production and language acquisition.
