Course Overall Objective

 To sensitize students on the importance of effective communication in community participation, development messages and organization of community work.

Purpose of the course

This course is designed to equip the student with communication skills in various development contexts.

By the end of the course, the student should be able to: -

1.     describe the place of communication in community work

2.     integrate communication for development in the project cycle

3.     critique communication strategies applied in developing countries

4.     design a communication media plan for a community campaign
